Our philosophy
We consider ourselves an ethical company seeking to adhere to set values and principles. These apply to all aspects of our business. From sourcing materials, through production, packaging and customer service, we take pride in delivering a safe and high-quality product which meets high standards.
Respect Nature
We believe that beauty does not have to cost the earth, and products can be produced without chemicals or additives. A natural product is good for our planet as well as our skin. We are committed to only using natural materials and aiming for as little impact on the environment as possible.
Our product is developed to respect nature, never involve any form of animal testing and to use materials which can be reused and recycled as much as possible.
Proudly planet-hugging
Following our mission to minimise our carbon footprint, we use sugar made from beet grown in East Anglia and only UK companies for the box and packaging. All materials are scrutinised for their environmental impact and only used if our standards are met.
Our product is hand-made which means we have full control over sourcing, production and distribution of the kit. We ensure that the entire process adheres to the British quality and safety standards as well as our own ecological aims.
Empower people
We believe that women should be able to feel confident in themselves. Through our experience with hair removal over many years, we have met many ladies that are embarrassed and have resorted to all sorts of methods to remove their facial hair. By developing a product that can be used easily in the privacy of the home, we hope to help ladies get back their confidence.
TLK enables the individual to remove hair easily with a product that is natural and therefore kind to skin and the planet alike. Our product is designed for many uses, for ladies of all complexions, ages and genders.
Transparency
We are committed to our philosophy and make sure that all parts of the kit are sourced responsibly to minimise the impact on our environment. We only work with UK companies whose services are in keeping with our ecological vision and vegan mission.
The sugar paste
The TLK sugar paste is hand made in Southampton from three natural ingredients: sugar, water and lemon. The sugar is British sugar, made from sugar beet, grown in East Anglia.
The paste comes in a glass jar which can be cleaned out to be re-used or recycled. Re-use it for lotions, creams, or even marmite.
The utensils
The spatulas are wood. They can be washed in hot water and used again, and can be recycled.
The barrier powder is made from only rice so it is talc free. It comes in an aluminium screw pot which is also recyclable.
The packaging
The box is hand-made in Cornwall using vegan glue. All the contents are wrapped in acid-free tissue paper which means they have a neutral PH or acidity level. The cello bags containing spatulas and paper strips are not plastic, they are made from renewable PLA so are therefore compostable.
Proud to be Leaping Bunny approved
