I LOVE Sugarflick. Fee and the girls there are fantastic, really know their stuff and are just all round lovely. Before moving to Southampton I’d always had wax but after going for sugar I never want to use anything else. Fee has a great energy and has some fantastic stories, makes you feel really relaxed and at ease. Unfortunately I now live a little far away (Singapore) to continue going to Sugarflick, but when I’m back on the south coast I will definitely be in to visit.

Will it look obvious I have had a back wax?

Because we are very skilled at blending hair it will not be obvious. On areas such as your T-shirt sleeve or your collar bone we can give your hair a natural look with our “sugarballing” technique, blending in the area of hair to no hair.

Please don’t feel that you are an extra for “Gorillas in the mist “. So many gents feel they are very hirsute, but seriously we have seen it all before, as long as we have enough time then it will all be fine. How often do I have to come in?

This does depend on the individual, the previous method of hair removal and also which body part.

If you are a regular female sugaring client, a Brazilian/Hollywood is normally every 5, 6, or 7 weeks and for a regular male client, a sugaring back treatment is usually every 2 or 3 months, albeit, sometimes this is down to the client and their lifestyle.

What we often hear clients say is that with waxing they had to go to a salon more often.

I often get ingrowing hairs will this be a better solution?

Good Lord yes! you will not believe how many clients mention this after sugaring.

We cannot guarantee that you will never get any ingrowing hairs, however many of our clients find that sugaring causes less ingrowing hair or none at all. You can read a lot more here

How does Sugaring work?

Unlike shaving and hair removal creams, sugaring (similar to some waxing) removes the hair from the root.

sugar sticks more to the hair than the skin, therefore less uncomfortable when removed
excellent for sensitive skin
causes less irritation
more accurate at removing hair than many other methods due to its consistency so
there is less hair breakage
it lasts longer than other methods because we can get out the smallest of hairs and from the root
we are extremely skilled at all body sugaring methods

If hair snaps off at the root this can cause irritation such as ingrowing hairs, pimples, and annoying red spots because the hair will have a sharp end and then as it breaks through the surface of the skin to continue its life as a hair, it can then cause you irritation.

You will most likely find yourself scratching and aggravating your skin, making it red and most possibly infecting the area with bacteria – so why put yourself through all that?
