What is your Covid procedure?

There is so much parking around, but please note much of the area is closed off until 19th July, so until open again, you can no longer drive through Bedford Place. It is blocked off outside our building and also top of Henstead road is now blocked to Bedford Place.

Would Sugarflick ever cancel or move my appointment?

Yes, things change, and we may have to move an appointment. If ever we move a booking it is usually because of the online booking to enable other bookings done in house, but usually, this is only by 15 mins. If we have to move you to another day we contact you first. We mustRead More

Can I bring my children?

No, we only permit over 18’s and since March 2020 like many places, big changes. Only one person permitted at appointments, no waiting area, so anyone with you will have to wait outside or in the car.

Do I have to pay deposit?

Since Covid, we changed our system, and all bookings, even if a die-hard regulars, pay in full before 6pm the day before. If booking online it will ask for the full amount.

Do you take cards?

Since covid we no longer take cards. All appointments are advance payment only by BACS. If booking online, it will ask for the full amount.

Can I have it done if I am on medication?

Please ask your GP first if you have any concerns. As all personal services will ask you, please let us know if you have any covid symptoms or feel unwell. Please get in touch if you think there is something we need to know about.

Do I have to have an appointment or can I just pop in?

We are appointment only and as restrictions ease, we will consider a day for walkins. Watch this space.

Do you only do intimate sugaring?

Please note that if it is not on the menu then we are not offering it.
From time to time, mainly in the summer, we do legs with Brazilian or Hollywood
treatments, but 90% of the time it is only intimate hair removal, as this is our forte.

If I am going on holiday can I be sugared a few days before?

Yes, but we do advise at least 2 sessions before a sunny break. Always be sure to follow our before and aftercare advice, which is sent to you by email, before your appointment.

I often get ingrowing hairs will this be a better solution?

Good Lord yes! you will not believe how many clients mention this after sugaring.

We cannot guarantee that you will never get any ingrowing hairs however many of our clients find that sugaring causes less ingrowing hair or none at all. You can read a lot more here

How does Sugaring work?

Unlike shaving and hair removal creams, where the hair is removed at the surface, sugaring (similar to some waxing) removes the hair from the root.

sugar sticks to your hair more than the skin, therefore less uncomfortable when removed
excellent for sensitive skin
causes less irritation
more accurate at removing hair than many other methods due to its consistency so
there is less hair breakage
our methods mean it lasts longer than other ways to remove unwanted hair

If hair snaps off at the root this can cause irritation such as ingrowing hairs, pimples, and annoying red spots because the hair will have a sharp end and then as it breaks through the surface of the skin, to continue its life as a hair, it then causes you irritation.

You will most likely find yourself scratching and aggravating your skin, making it red and most possibly infecting the area with bacteria – so why put yourself through all that?
