Have you got a will or a lasting power of attorney in place?
No matter how fit and careful you are, you never know what is going to happen to you, I therefore very recently did a will. I did a power of attorney after the 1st time I went into hospital and a will back in December.
I did not use a solicitor as most only have limited knowledge of these, so I used an experienced will writer, who also does trusts, power of attorneys, and estate planning. http://www.brentwoodassociates.co.uk/
Think about it! there is no time once you pass away, so no matter how old you are, even if you do have children or even a mortgage, get things in place. I personally do not want to leave a load of hassle to those I leave behind.
