Cruelty Free – or is it?

published on February 24th 2023

Did you know that some of the “cruelty-free” bunny logos are not legit? and were created by the brands themselves, so it is likely that they may still be testing on animals? Do you know what all the bunny logos on your cosmetics, personal care, and household products actually mean?

I was reading an article from Ethical Elephant (link at the end) and it explains this comparison really well.

Both Leaping Bunny & PETA have a certification and they try to get more companies to stop animal testing and get us all to choose cruelty-free, which is great to know, so it is a woop woop for the animals.

Our 1st ever product, the TLK, is for facial hair removal. We chose Leaping Bunny accreditation for this because they require companies to submit documents from all suppliers, plus we must be open to independent audits and renew them annually. PETA does not require this, therefore, its standards are based on what a brand tells them!
